Joke Du Jour
An elderly couple was on a cruise and it got really stormy. The wife was sadly washed overboard. The ship searched in vain for days, so the captain sent the old man back to shore with the promise that he would notify him as soon as they found something. Three weeks later the old man received a fax, "Sir, sorry to inform you that we just found your wife dead at the bottom of the ocean. We hauled her up to deck, and attached to her bottom was an oyster. In it was a pearl worth $50,000. Please advise." The old man faxed back, "Please send me the pearl and re-bait the trap."

Insurance
The Florida insurance market is tough to understand, but apparently many homeowners don't even understand their individual policies. A survey by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners finds that many think that their basic policy covers them for disasters that actually require a seperate policy or addition. Those include cars, boats and motorcycles (68%), water supply line (51%), sewer line breaks (37%), mold (34%), termites or infestation (31%). The survey also revealed that 33% of voters think flood damage is covered under their basic homeowners insurance policy even after multiple news stories about Katrina victims' denied claims.
